Hot Weather Trip

https://goo.gl/maps/RSQpqW17UiSXnFUs5 — It was a dud because there was no parking,($50 in the lot!!) and too many people had the same idea. More like a tourist trap.

We were really hungry after driving for three hours, and ended up here:

The Malted Barley

The gouda and chipotle stuffed pretzel with apricot butter was amazing. We each had a sandwich too; served with Miss Vickie’s chips. “Soupy patty” was like a hot Italian sausage pastry, had a nice kick to it but not overwhelming.halfpenny in it was a little much for me so I picked some out. Joel had the das German - w/Bratwurst, sauerkraut and mustard. Was a more mild flavored wurst.

Knead Doughnuts

(1) Brown butter pecan and (2) passion doughnuts were pretty good and fresh, but a little on the heavy side, especially with the generous pecan topping.  For the doughnut Leaderboard:

1) there must be a place

2) Holy donut - Maine blueberry

3) Donut Villa Diner - Oreo

4) Knead doughnuts

5) Union square doughnuts

It was too hot still even though we are in Deep South of New England, and needed to get some AirCon, so we went to Foxwoods for their wide air conditioned hallways.

Activities including getting Dippin’ Dots - Brownie Batter + Birthday cake is solid - it is gimmicky, but I am a sucker for the texture.  Since I don’t love chocolate flavors, I probably could go for Birthday Cake solo in the future.
